It’s EO Day 2026!

It’s EO Day, a celebration uniting employee owners and sector supporters behind the theme of Owning It as we collectively propel employee ownership into the mainstream. 

We’ve been teasing EO Day all year and now it’s finally here! 

Turbocharged with this year’s Owning It theme, we’re inviting employee owners, leaders, trustees, and champions to celebrate their success, elevate their EO champions, and spotlight examples of Great EO that are creating impact every day for both businesses and communities. 

This year, EO Day also plays a key role in supporting the UK Employee Ownership Growth Strategy and our aim of 7,500 EO businesses by 2023 (with a stretch goal of 10,000).

EO Day 2026 Sector Snapshot

The UK employee ownership sector now includes 2,890 employee owned businesses and 432,000 employee owners.

These latest figures – taken from the June 2026 edition of the EO Business Register – underline the growing scale and influence of the sector, and the opportunity ahead as the eoa works with our partners to drive even more growth.
