By ordering an Online Course, you are confirming your agreement to be bound by the following.  

The course is provided by the Employee Ownership Association (hereinafter referred to as “eoa”, “we” or “us”), a company incorporated in England and Wales with company number 01419899, VAT registration number 333 293370 and with its registered office at Mercury (Ground Floor East), Building 131, Humber Enterprise Park, Aviation Way, Brough, HU15 1YJ.    

The eoa take the use of data very seriously, please refer to our Privacy Policy for all the information, including a list of our Data Processors and Suppliers. 

We will provide the Online Courses using reasonable care and skill.  

We may appoint independent sub-contractors to assist in providing Online Courses or use third parties to arrange or supply certain aspects of, or services in connection with, our Online Courses. You agree that our obligation to you is to use reasonable care in selecting competent, independent sub-contractors and third-party suppliers to provide reasonable services related to the Online Courses. You agree that the eoa is not responsible for the actions or omissions of such sub-contractors or third-party suppliers.  

Payment

Payment is required 14 days of registration to secure the booking. You will receive a VAT invoice with details for payment by BACS. If you have paid by card you will receive a VAT invoice showing a balance of £0.  

Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change course dates, change course content, discontinue courses, limit class size and cancel courses. In the event of any of these changes we will notify the delegates prior to the course start date. In the event of course cancellations or discontinuation, we will refund 100% of the fees already paid but we shall have no further liability to you whatsoever. 

Transfer and Cancellation Fees

Please note that refunds will not be given for booking cancellations made less than 30 clear calendar days before the course date. 

You may change the delegate name(s) up to 1 day before the course date at the following fee:  

  • £35 cancellation and rebooking fee, per change

If you wish to transfer to an alternative date, space is available on the course and you advise the EOA in writing more than 30 clear calendar days before the current course date, the following fee applies to the change:   

  • £35 cancellation and rebooking fee, per change

All change requests must be made in writing to: [email protected] 

Please note, delegate name changes and cancellations, will only take affect once confirmation is received in writing by both parties.   

Non-attendance

No refunds will be given for non-attendance to a course. 

No refunds will be given if you have started a multiple day course and cannot attend the whole course. 

We may consider any extenuating circumstances that contribute to non-attendance during the course on a case by case basis. Any requests for refunds or changes due to extenuating circumstances must be made if writing to: [email protected].   

Technical Support and Access

You accept and acknowledge that the EOA cannot be held responsible for any delay or disruptions to your access to the Online Course as a result of such suspension or any of the following:  

(a) the operation of the internet and the world wide web, including but not limited to viruses;  

(b) any firewall restrictions that have been placed on your network or the computer you are using to access the Online Course;  

(c) failures of telecommunications links and equipment; or  

(d) browser or Zoom issues.  

Warranties

The eoa will provide the Course Materials in accordance with the Online Course description, which is set out on the Website and/or in any relevant Brochure.  

The eoa expects you to take reasonable care to verify that the Online Course and Course Materials in question will meet your needs. We do not make any commitment to you that you will obtain any particular result from your use of the Online Course or Course Materials or that you will obtain any particular qualification on completion of the Online Course (unless otherwise stated on the Website and/or in any relevant Brochure).  

The eoa does not make any representation, guarantee or commitment to you that the Online Course or Course Materials will be error free.  

The eoa does not make any commitment that the Online Course or Course Materials will be compatible with or operate with your software or hardware.  

Intellectual Property & Digital Course Materials

All Intellectual Property Rights in the digital Course Materials, Online Courses and the speeches made by trainers during the courses are, and remain, the intellectual property of the Employee Ownership Association or its licensors.   

You are not authorised to:

(i) copy, modify, reproduce, re-publish, sub-licence, sell, upload, broadcast, post, transmit or distribute any of the digital Course Materials provided without prior written permission;  

(ii) record on video or audio tape, relay by videophone or other means the Online Course or In-Person Course.  

(iii) use the digital Course Materials in the provision of any other course or training whether given by us or any third party trainer;  

(iv) remove any copyright or other notice of the Employee Ownership Association on the Course Materials;  

(v) modify, adapt, merge, translate, disassemble, decompile, reverse engineer (save to the extent permitted by law) any software forming part of the Online Courses.  

In consideration of the Fees paid by you, we grant to you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the digital Course Materials and any software in respect of the Online Course for the sole purpose of completing the Online Course and / an In-person course.  

Respect

Course delegates may choose to share information during the course to enrich learning. Delegates are asked to be respectful and not to share any commercial information discussed for the purposes of learning.    

As the course is delivered virtually, delegates should consider their location and ensure they are in a quiet and appropriate space, wearing suitable attire and can restrict interruptions by colleagues/family members.   

Privacy

Data Sharing

The eoa will use the information provided as part of the booking to administer the course you have booked. In order to maximise learning opportunities the delegate information will also be shared with the course director and basic information shared with any guest speakers. 

How Long Data is Held

For eoa member organisations, delegate information provided will be added to the eoa system in order to ensure individuals receive information relating to their organisations membership of the eoa. The eoa Privacy Policy can be found here.   

For individuals requesting that their data is held for the sole purpose of facilitating the course, the eoa holds the information supplied for a period of 6 months following the course date. This enables the eoa to answer any questions post course completion.
