The eoa Membership Council (EMC) does what it says on the tin, representing the views of The eoa’s membership.

The council plays a central role in shaping our membership proposition and supporting the development of our offering – helping The eoa grow and influence EO communities across the UK.

Want to Join the EMC?

Not only can you contribute to the growth and success of the eoa and the employee owned sector at large, but joining the EMC provides an incredible personal development opportunity. The current recruitment period is now closed, but you can send an application all year round

How the EMC Makes a Difference

The EMC actively contributes to a wide range of eoa activities, including the eoa Annual Conference, eo Hub, in-person events, supporting the development of our eo Learn courses, and much more.

By offering valuable insights and guidance, the EMC help us design and deliver a proposition that truly resonate with members.

This collaboration strengthens our ability to support the growing eoa community and deliver lasting impact.

Representing Member Voices

The EMC is made up of representatives from across the eoa member network – individuals who are passionate about advancing employee ownership.

These representatives bring forward ideas, challenges, and solutions, holding us accountable to members while ensuring services evolve to your changing needs.

Serving on the EMC is more than attending meetings; it’s about being an advocate for the eoa community. Members collaborate with like-minded individuals to amplify the reach, influence, and impact of the employee ownership sector.

What Does an EMC Representative Do?

EMC representatives support the eoa by:

  • Participate in quarterly meetings to share ideas and feedback.
  • Support fellow members with advice and insights outside of meetings, creating a reliable support network.
  • Offer expertise on key challenges and opportunities to further the economic and social impact of employee ownership.

The Bigger Picture

Together, the EMC representatives enhance the knowledge base, strengthen the economic impact of employee ownership, and ensure eoa members receive the best possible support and representation.
