All Party Group probes public service employee ownership

EOA has helped the All Party Group on employee ownership to organise a hearing on employee ownership in Royal Mail. At the July hearing, co-chairs Jesse Norman MP [Conservative], John Woodcock MP [Labour] and Martin Horwood MP [Lib Dem] quizzed EOA member companies and other experts on how the troubled state enterprise could benefit from the kind of employee stake reportedly under consideration by Business Secretary Vince Cable. The hearing was the first of a series that will examine the potential for employee ownership in public services.
