Visit to Circle

EOA’s latest company visit was to Circle’s acclaimed Bath Hospital - a building designed to be entirely “patient friendly”. EOA participants agreed that the building is more like a prestigious hotel than a hospital. With no signage, patients and visitors are greeted personally and taken to where they have to be. Patient care is so good that in response to demand, and subject to availability, Circle Bath offer a “hotel package” to patients who want to stay a bit longer.
The Circle team of Roger, Shelagh and Lizzie described the Circle way of working, the company ‘credo’, and challenges and successes of bringing a large number of new colleagues on board at the same time. There was also some discussion on how the recent AIM flotation might impact on the company, and how the sense of ownership will be sustained in light of Circle’s ambitious growth plans.
