BIS Minister meets EOA members

Several Association members attended the latest in EOA’s Roundtable series – a meeting with BIS Minister, Edward Davey [pictured], and senior officials in October. The Minister, whose portfolio includes employment relations and postal affairs, was particularly interested in the obstacles companies faced when considering employee ownership, and what the Government should be doing to reduce these barriers. Expressing longstanding enthusiasm for employee ownership, he welcomed EOA proposals for an initiative to grow awareness of this option among business owners planning succession.
