Accolades for Gripple and Loadhog

November 2011

Sheffield-based manufacturers Gripple have beaten competition from over 15,000 businesses to win one of just a hundred coveted Ruban D’Honneur nominations in the annual European Business Awards. Managing director Mark Edmunds [pictured] picked up the award at a gala event in Barcelona. Meanwhile, in the same week, sister company Loadhog walked off with the UK’s Best SME Factory prize in the Institute of Mechanical Engineering’s annual manufacturing excellence awards. Loadhog won for its innovative business ideas including every employee owning shares in the company, the abolition of job descriptions and its strong focus on promoting sustainability.
